    Here is a shot of a Bonaparte's gull that we have here in the Yukon over the summer.

    Shot handheld in available light with Canon 300 f/2.8 IS II + 2xTCIII at f/5.6 1/2500 ISO 320

    Very interesting new species for me. The whites look a little hot on the body although the underwings look well exposed. Thanks for sharing.

    One of my favorite gull species, and one I only see during a brief period of time during fall migration. I like the full wings-up pose with some nice feather layering going on in there. Unfortunate that the gull has passed you slightly at time of capture though. I also feel the face looks a bit soft - perhaps some selective sharpening there would work well for web presentation.
