Hi All:

We are pleased to announce the winners of September's IUCN Red Listed Wildlife Theme. It was another month with lots of participation and excellent images, plus we all learned a little about the conservation status of our favorite animals. Special thanks to our guest judge this month, Andreas Liedmann. Bragging rights this month go to:

1st Place -Haseeb Badar, "Asstrologer" - http://www.birdphotographers.net/for...50-Asstrologer-!!!

2nd Place - Sanjeev Aurangabadkar, "Time-Out" - http://www.birdphotographers.net/for...30986-Time-out!

3rd Place - Loi Nguyen, "Brazilian Tapir Head On" - http://www.birdphotographers.net/for...r-Head-On-View

Congrats to Haseeb, Sanjeev and Loi!

We're also happy to announce that the November Theme will be "Moments." For this theme we're not worried about the techs but purely the subject matter. Images must still be in focus (or purposely blurred) and properly exposed but for some reason you haven't posted the image due to a minor flaw e.g. the dof was not what you wanted, there's a distracting element, an ill placed blade of grass, a branch intersecting the head, you clipped the ear, or some other minor flaw that you know the eagle eyed BPNers would point out but that your non-photographer friends would never notice. Forum rules still apply. As always, please use the "Theme" prefix from the dropdown menu. Theme images will be critiqued just like other images and are eligible for IOTW honors.

In the meantime, let's start posting images for October's Theme "Details/Patterns."

Rachel, Steve and Morkel
