    Bill,

    Good looking image of this young bird. Your tonal range looks good but I might try upping the luminance (levels adjustment and mid-tone slider) a bit. I like the composition and the upturned diagonal of feathers is a nice touch.

    I would never have guessed that the bird is that old. Nice details and exposure control. There is a slight sharpening halo and the BG looks a bit noisy.

    This is a good looking bird. I like the pose and the composition. I'd reprocess to get rid of the sharpening halo and I'd also up the luminance as Robert has suggested. Well done.

    Thanks, I noticed the haloing and am trying to find out what is causing it. Still wading through a technique to try. I also did several Levels adjustments but found this one gave the best detail in the feathers. Thanks for the suggestions though. I guess I could tweak all day. :)
