Lucca - where it seems like everyone rides a bike. Here's one I took with the Holga TLR. I was walking to the Lucca Contemporary Museum to see the Elliott Erwitt exhibit that had been held over (my 4th time - he's one of my favorites and he used a Rollei TLR for his earlier work). I used Nik SEP - High Structure Harsh. I'll also post it with an alternative treatment - Nik SEP Yellowed. I'm going to print the Holgas that I choose at 8x8 and frame them 12x12 and hang them together on a wall to remind me of my trips to Italy. I love the little holga with its unpredictable results. I was in the middle of shooting and the back fell off so I duct taped it together for the rest of the trip - it didn't seem to mind.

Thanks, Diane. I love my holga - I only took 5 rolls (60 images)while I was there this time (18 days) but I think I've got at least several that I like. I'm sure I'll post them all in OOTB
Here's the other version - Nik SEP Yellowed 2. I like them both and they both printed great.

I have absolutely no personal experience with any Holgas. Based on what I've read, I expected circular vignettes and light leaks. They aren't in evidence, here, but I noted what you said about unpredictable results and am looking forward to your other Holga posts. I like the feel of both of these. Part is because of the scene you captured: part is your treatment.

These are great vintage-like images! I especially like that you tilted the camera so the curb is at an angle, adding a feeling of quirkiness that goes along with scene and your processing. The bicycle is key to connecting all the elements. I'm leaning towards the sepia image. I've said this before, Cheryl, you have an eye for creating interesting and unique images where I would not see a thing. Looking forward to all your Italy postings.

    Loved the duct tape story!!
