Thought I'd try out this new forum for bird photographers with an image from last winter. This was taken at a local lake in the Prescott, AZ area.

    Alan,

A very nice image. Everything is great about this image. Nice colors, soft background and a very well exposed subject. I don't know about this reflection in the lower right corner. It keeps contending for my attention a bit, but it is not something that I'd worry about. Ahh! - one personal preference though. I'd prefer to have more room on the left.

    Cheers,

    M-

Welcome, Alan. Very nice angle, pose and complementing water colors. The droplets on the back add to it. My only nit, it's not really a nit, is the bright vertical reflection left of the bill but I like it as is.

Welcome to BPN Alan! This image is wonderful, from the silky smooth, beautifully coloured water to the sharpness and low angle. No nits from me.

Welcome aboard. A very fine image. To me it looks like it needs just a touch of CCW rotation. But I could be wrong.
