I'd like to try posting a 3rd image of this jaguar sighting. Taken lessons from the previous 2 postings, I selected only images that I had a good focus on the subject :).
1DX
500f4 II
Aperture Priority
1/4000, f5.6, ISO-1600
No flash on this one.
HH from boat.
in LR, used brush adjustment to brighten the face by +0.77 and reduced the highlights on the rump by -100
In PS6, cloned out the head of a person on another boat at lower left corner, minor adjustments with Curves.
cropped all around for comp.
The RAW file is available in case you would like to try your hand on it. This lighting really made it difficult to process :(.
Hi Loi -- The Angle is better than the previous ones and PP looks better too , I am afraid you didnt cloned out properly as a part of Jaguar is visible in the LHS corner and some OOF water which must have not been a part initially. TFS !
Hi Loi this is a really lovely shot it terms of content .... i love it .
Great low POV and the moving Jaguar is stunning .
From the tonal POV it does not grab me , the tonal balance does not look "right " to me , too much processed .
I might suggest using PS for lighting the face and use a mask instead of the LR brush !! But this is my WF you may not agree and get along better with the LR brush .
Hi Loi - great low pov and look at the jaguar in water. The comp works really well. The harsh light certainly was difficult to deal with. The pp is better and there are lots of ways to skin the cat so to speak. It might be worth trying things a few different ways and seeing what you like best.
TFS,
Rachel
P.S. I also see some repeating in the area you cloned.

Reason: added P.S.
I've been super busy with family and work, so no time. Today I went back to the Jaguar and decided to do a 3 exposure HDR, +1, 0, -1 and merged them in PS. I kind of like it. Hope you can give some feedback.
Hi Loi , just asking curious ......... have you tone mapped the image with PS internal tone mapping ?? It does look like . Maybe i am wrong .
I prefer exposure blending by far over this HDR thing , as it does give more natural looking tone and tonal transitions . But of course always a question of personal pref.
I think this does look too drastic in terms of changes , just try smaller steps .
