A nile croc lying on the banks of Chobe river. Had posted a head shot of this guy, here is the full view with his nicely distended belly!

Hi Sanjeev -- Looks huge ! But unfortunately the frame is not grabbing me . I find the belly more sharp than the head which i feel is not being part f the image , coz of the Head angle i guess. Also the vegetation in the FG is a bit of distraction . Sorry and TFS !

HI Haseeb, I checked the RAW and the focus is just below the eye. And I feel f/8 was enough to have the full subject in focus @ 255mm. The FG grass is part of the habitat while shooting from the boat and I don't think its interfering with the subject much. Anyway thanks for the honest feedback.

Hi Sanjeev , nice low POV and the tones and colors do look spot on to me , nicely processed Sanjeev .
I see where Haseeb is coming from regarding the overall look with the FG ...... you cannot change it , i just think the big boy is not isolated enough from the rest of the image .
What you could have done is , shooting with F4 to have smaller DOF ......
As it is now you could lower the contrast in the FG and BG to make the croc stand out a bit .Will try to post an RP when i am at my home machine

Hi Sanjeev - Nice to see a croc and he does look big. This works well as a pano and the techs look good both in the field and in pp. I think the inclusion of the fg grasses shows how these guys can easily blend in with their similar coloring. That being said you can separate it a little more from the environment by darkening everything except the croc slightly.

    TFS,
    Rachel
