I photographed this in Spain and thought this guy was crazy! The best I understand is that you rappel down the steep rocky sides of the gorge, hopefully negotiate down the river of crashing water to another place on the cliff to climb up, and then repeat the whole process. Go figure!

This was processed with the old Pixel Bender that is no longer available in the current versions of PS. I really enjoyed using pixel bender and miss it.

I really like the Pixel Bender effect, especially on the water. Nice opposing diagonals, too. In spite of losing some of the swirling water, I might crop a bit off the bottom to move the crazy guy on the rope down some.

Something in the back of my head says that PB morphed into Oil Paint in Photoshop, but I'm not sure of that. When I get a chance, I'll try playing with Oil Paint to see if I can make it look like Pixel Bender did. At the rate I'm going, that could be a while. Although I have my real computer back, I still haven't downloaded the 2015 version of Photoshop (to be followed, I guess, by downloading most or all of the plug-ins, again).

Perfect effect for the water!! I love it! And a great composition -- no suggestions from me.

He doesn't look really happy and I don't see any hardware attaching him to the rope, but maybe it's under that swirl of water -- hope he survived!

Hey, Nancy, I always liked Pixel Bender too. I love what it did to the water on this. That guy must be loco

Agree re the water treatment. I fear that if you did crop the bottom, he'd look rather stuck against the rocks. Having the water below gives him someplace to go.

Wow! A great action photo. I very much like the angle of view and composition. The brown rocks form a triangle that frame the water and image. The position of the climber is OK with me. He stands out nicely with his bright colored clothes, and he is right in line with the diagonal created by browns in lower part of image. The swirling water processing is perfect. This image tells the story.
