    Joe:

    The slight tilt towards us really helps show off the dorsal surface of the wings, the blue bg sets off the bird well, sharp. Effective DOF.

    The whites actually are quite good, but I might tone down the upper back/shoulder area just a bit to see if some more detail can be teased out. Detail extractor in PS would be my first choice, but it looks like that isn't an option for you.

    Perhaps a bit more canvas above .

    Beautiful -- I love the detail in the whites. Nik's Detail Extractor is always worth a look for whites. A glance at their web site looks like it will run in several recent versions of Elements.

    For me the sharpest bit seems to be the near wing.
    Love the details and pose.
    The contrast against the blue water really rocks!
