    Love the water color look to this! And how perfect for a bird always near the water. Also like the dramatic lighting on the heron, like a sunset/sunrise. Well done.

    This is very nicely composed. Not only do I like it visually with the colors and lighting and with the look you achieved, but I can't help looking at it longer hoping to see what's caught the heron's attention.

    Dennis! nice to have you back! Actually, though he/she is not looking at me directly, it is me that has its attention....that's really a look of panic as I step slowly closer. But...in the photo, I prefer to call it concentration. thanks for your comments, all.

    I like the simplicity and graphic quality of this image. The colors are luscious. The head has a somewhat lighthearted look to it which I enjoy.

    Hi, Hazel, I like the look you've created - it reminds me of using the Distort - Glass in PS. I seem to see a purple halo around the beak and lower jaw but maybe my eyes are jet-lagged (as is the rest of me)
