With less than 7,000 in the wild, it is classified as endangered by the IUCN and one of the bucket list animals to see in the wild for safari enthusiasts. It is not uncommon for the alpha female to have litters of nearly 20 pups, relying strongly on the hunting success of the pack to feed and rear her litter.
This male still bears the scars of a wire snare, an unfortunate practice that still plagues SLNP, despite the best efforts of ZAWA, & the Zambian Carnivore Programme.

Hi Marc, excellent pose and good BG separation with nice light. The comp is nice and the PP work superb. TFS, I am yet to see one in the wild despite my 4 trips to Africa!!!!
Hi Marc very cool pose of the WD .
Lovely setting with the wide landscape in the BG , great colors in the frame .
Overall i think the image is a bit thin in the tones , a bit of boosting from 1/4 to the 3/4 tones would not hurt from my POV , but i would use a mask for this like in Sanjeev´s ellie the red channel .

Have to agree Andreas, it could use a midtone boost here, giving it a more critical eye myself.
Hi Marc - Nice alert pose and I like the elevated view with the water in the bg. I agree about being a little flat and that a boost in the midtones would take it up a notch.
