Leucistic Great Blue Heron

A rare bird that I found on East Coast of Vancouver island well kayaking there two weeks ago. This bird has been studied before in research articles or at least other ones have in the area.
Shot handheld from kayak in available light. Canon 7D2, Canon 100-400II, 400mm, f/5.6, 1/1600, ISO 250.

While visiting Vancouver BC in June 2014 I found a leucistic Great Blue Heron at the ferry dock. I don't know if these birds are related or the same but I thought it interesting and wanted to share my photo with your thread.
