Great pose, details and the snack adds to it. You handled the harsh light well, although it could go a bit darker. There is some posterization in the BG.

Love the little guy.....with his mouth full. I agree with Axel....well done with the light. For some reason I wish the "reed" didn't have a cutoff appearance.....it's not a big deal.....just makes it look more artificial. Well done.

    Great composition and capture Rosl,
The details are nice and sharp with vibrant rich colors on your bird. I would just crop a tiny slice from the bottom...

Very well done, Rosl! I really like the background (there is a bit of posterization as Axel mentioned), and the pose with the snack is great! Toning down some of the bright areas might work well.

Robert O'Toole and I discussed posterization in this thread http://www.birdphotographers.net/for...ad.php?t=11776.

I was also reading a book by Vincent Versace this morning where it is discussed -- see "Welcome to Oz". I think his recommendation is similar to Robert's but I need to check. Hope this helps.

    Robert,
thanks for the link about "posterization". I didn't know it had a name and now a way to deal with it.
