    Took the image a couple of days ago,set of early for the grouse moors,was there before the sun had started to rise,but when it did,what magic light,lighting the head and some of the neck a shade lighter thanthe body,loved the effect.cannon 500mm IS,L,F4,5D MK111,1/4 EXT,700MM FL,ON BEAN BAG,out of car window.1/640S,ISO1250,F6.3.crop,sharpened for web,touch of curves,CB.

    I love the warm and rich light and colours you got here. Great habitat too, especially the purple flowers. Everything else works really well too, a super fine image! You could remove the faint seed heads at right center edge, just to give the whole perimeter a clean finish.

    Gorgeous image. No suggestions for improvement here, imo it's perfect as is. I enjoy that foot peaking through the grasses, and those purple flowers really zing, great background variations....
