Took the image a couple of days ago,set of early for the grouse moors, was there before the sun had started to rise, but when it did, what magic light, lighting the head and some of the neck a shade lighter thanthe body, loved the effect.cannon 500mm IS,L,F4,5D MK111,1/4 EXT,700MM FL,ON BEAN BAG,out of car window.1/640S,ISO1250,F6.3.crop,sharpened for web, touch of curves,CB.
I love the warm and rich light and colours you got here. Great habitat too, especially the purple flowers. Everything else works really well too, a super fine image! You could remove the faint seed heads at right center edge, just to give the whole perimeter a clean finish.
Gorgeous image. No suggestions for improvement here, imo it's perfect as is. I enjoy that foot peaking through the grasses, and those purple flowers really zing, great background variations....
What a beautiful Image. The lighting and the colors are fantastic. Well done

Hi Chris, you nailed everything in this -light, pose, colours and sharpness. The surrounding habitat blends in so well. Congrats on a great image here.
