This nashville warbler was photographed this past spring near the southern shore of Lake Superior in Minnesota. Audio used as an attractant, pop-up blind used, perch is naturally occuring. Canon7d, Sigma50/500os, iso800, 1/1000, shot vertically, cropped for composition, noise reduction applied to the bg, USM the subject and perch only. Comments and critiques welcome.

Shawn Zierman.
This fella is going all out! Nice vertical comp, good details and perfect yellows. A couple of the sticks drew the eye, but they offer a sense of low shrub / young forest edge these guys like.
Lovely light and singing pose.
I am OK with the sticks except for the bright one directly behind him on the right. I would clone that one out
because it pulls the eye away from the bird.
Nice to get him parallel to the sensor like that- you trained him well!
I might also reduce the contrast a little bit.
Nice image!

This guy sure is belting out his song! Nice details and exposure and I really like the colors in the bird and The BG. Maybe a bit more cloning but nice as is too. Well done

Hi Shawn, what a lovely singing pose here, and great that we can see the tongue too. I like how he is framed between the two angled reeds/grasses, and overall, the Warbler is nice and sharp.
Personally, I'd love a cleaner setting, but understand that may not have been possible.
Love the singing pose and details, and light.
Well done and TFS
