Default Pied Kingfisher with a tiny snack

I could use the fish in the theme as a young one, as its so small, and Im sure this fellow never even felt it going down. My recent images from Pilanesberg National Park have been colourful BG's, but now and again, you have to shoot against water to get the shot. A better angle towards me would have been better. Taken early morning.

Haven't seen one of these in a while. Well composed, a few tiny brigt white patches on the bird is my only nit. A very nice shot overall.

Very nice Stu! You are correct in your HA assessment but always a good day when you get a nice shot of a KF with a fish!

I agree about the HA, because of the blank BG, I would crop tighter if you can.

Nice action shot, Stu. Great to see the fish in the open beak.

I agree with everything and I especially agree with Gail, no mater what, it's always a good day when you get a KFr with a fish. Well done Stu

Solid image you already nailed it about the HA. I got to visit Pilanesberg a couple weeks ago really enjoyed it.
