    I captured this image at the City Fishing Pier on Anna Maria Island, Florida. It appears to be a first year gull. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

    It looks like the tip of the close wing is the sharpest. Some extra sharpening of the head might be a good idea in this case, Joe.

    Hi Karl, thanks for viewing and commenting. After reading your comment I opened the raw file to check the active focus point. The focus point that was active was on the head just above the eye. My guess is that the dark wing tip feathers have more contrast against the background making them appear sharper. If not that, I don't know. Thanks again for commenting.

    Hi Joe, I like these flight poses with the head and neck extended between the wings, and a great HA too. The sharpness on the head looks fine to me.

    Not sure if I am keen on the wing positions. Head is sharp as, like the fanned tail.
