This little cherub of a Semipalmated Plover stretched in a way just right to form a sideways heart for all to admire it even more .

Canon 7D + 500mm f/4 II + 1.4TC, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/2000s., f/5.6, ISO 400, natural light, handheld, cropped to help the comp, usual eye work, some burn tool to extract more details under the wing.

Great vision for this image Daniel.
Your usual high quality, low POV image.
What's not to love about it?

Cherub is a great description, Dan. Great job on the exposure and low angle.

One of the cutest birds among the Shorebirds for sure. Excellent low angle shooting and nice pose, Daniel.

    Too cute for words!

Usual great techs, and my favoured 'wet belly low POV' angle really helps in this shot. The little head turn really finishes this off perfectly for me.

Love everything about this little angel... right down to the raised foot! Pose, detail, FG/BG ... all work beautifully together.

Hi Dan, good IQ and light in this, and well timed to capture the wing position. The little guy is well exposed and sharp. I do like the colours of the BG.
