I can't remember what I did in PP for this image.
Wish I had the tail within DOF.

Fabulous Gail. I am with you, the only thing I would change is the DOF. Beautiful point of View. killer BG and FG. Lovely colours throughout. Nice one

The tail does not bother me one bit. With the smooth BG, and amazing soft FG framing we are lead directly to the face area of this little fella. I love the grasses, and the raised foot is an important element to have in this situation where both feet could have been hidden.

I agree 100% with Daniel. OOF tail - no issue, raised foot - big plus.
    Very beautiful image Gail

Another vote no problem with the tail, all the rest more than makes up for it, lovely!

What an incredibly gorgeous image Gail.
Excellent POV, don't worry about the tail, the foot is super.
    Beautiful greens all around.
    Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful, Gail. Love the sharp detail in the soft plumage and the soft greens framing the bird. I think a larger DOF would have removed more from the image by altering the rendering of the grasses than gaining sharpness on the tail would add.

Nice pose and excellent details. Higher POV would have worked better in this case IMO.

I do find the OOF tail to be a bit of a problem on second look but actually only noticed it after I read your comments so I guess that means it actually isn't a problem Love the raised foot and super sharp cute subject and dreamy background and foreground.

Hi Gail, lovely low angle, and I like the soft light in this. You have brought out the soft plumage so well, and what a great angled pose with the raised foot. I didnt realise they had such large feet.
