I traveled to a beach this past Sunday where I expected to see alot of shorebirds. Not so, but this little sanderling made the trip worthwhile.

Grace, you're developing quite an eye. Excellent photo. I like the eye contact, lifted leg, and the way the sand slopes gently downwards. Congrats!

    Love it !
Great composition with the sloping sand.
The raised foot and eye contact make it special.

This looks very good. I like the raised foot, composition and plumage. The slope makes this even better.

Thanks to everyone for your generous comments. I attribute any improvements that am making in a large part to BPN and those of you who give so much day after day. I never take it for granted.

This is a nice one Grace. Great smoothness of the BG with a nice sliver of sharpness on the sand and subject. Colors are nice as well. I like the shadow pointing in the direction of travel and this one makes me smile thinking that this bird has decided he was going to walk across the country on a great adventure.
