    Beautiful image, Mervyn. The flash looks very natural to me and I love the perch. I like the space on the right for him to look in to , but there's so much of it that the image feels unbalanced to me. Of course, this is subjective.

    Great little Azure, Mervyn. I have had fun chasing these up the Daintree but have nothing as beautiful as yours. Nice use of flash and I like your composition. I wonder about a little more localised midtone contrast on the bird. The perch is great and I like the warm tones in it that echo the colour of the breast.

    Although the light direction was not your friend on this image, I like the colors.
