I don't see your usual very high standard. Not sure how you processed or whether you cropped lots?
The eye looks really grainy. A low POV would have been fabulous.
    Cute portrait nevertheless. TFS

Oh, looks a bit hammered here Karl, looks like Sharpening/Clarity/ Crop overload. Just pulling back on the Contrast, Whites & blacks helps, but agree with Akos that it's not to your usual standard of presentation.

Again, Akos made a key point, being at eye level with that eye would have really elevated the image, good call Akos!

A very cute youngster, but I agree there are some issues. A large crop? I sometimes wonder if AF has a hard time knowing what to focus on with fuzzy little juvies like this, but that may not be the issue here.

Thanks Akos. I might have overdone the sharpening as you noticed.
Here is one cropped from the original but no sharpening applied.

A very nice image but I do think it is either over sharpened or over cropped. Maybe also just a slight mis-focus. None the less a great portrait of the little tyke.

Have to agree with all of the above.
IQ just isn't there. How big of a crop is this?
