    I love how this looks exactly like our Northern Harriers, except for the colour. Same face shape and lean long body. Great colours, grassy habitat, lowish angle. Contrast feels strong to me, no doubt due to the strong light.

    Well done. Ive been chasing these beauties for years, so hard to get close.This shows the colours up really well,and you got her [I think] in her habitat. They've been pretty rare in my area over the last 3 years ,hoping a good spring will bring them back. I don't think the contrast is over the top in that light Daniel ,they are coming up to the breeding season and are one of our most spectacular birds.

    Great image of another new to me bird!! I may try to blur the background to remove the heat haze look. Otherwise super light and great colours.
