    Default Buzz off !!

A lot of us here in Wildlife know how difficult it is to get clean BG images of our subjects, particularly leopards.

Here, I was well rewarded with this wonderful young male who was on his way down to the Luangwa River to quench his thirst, my vehicle was on a lower section of track which gave me the opportunity for such a BG and low POV.
I love the quizzical look on his face as the persistant fly continued to buzz his face, a light dusting of purple flowers from the rain tree adding contrast.

Sth Luangwa NP- Zambia, late dry season.

D4s 500 f/4VR 1/800s f/5.6 ISO800. Slight crop for comp, bean bag from front pax seat, curves, levels, TK masking,, PS CC '15 & ACR.

    C & C most welcome

    Cheers
    Marc

    Hi Marc
well not much more to say than
yes you have been well rewarded.
Cannot comment on color /tone as i am away , i just wish for a bit more space all around , specially the top , if you do not have it , i might try to add a bit off canvas .Oops just read the intro after typing , so i might like the original crop a bit more ?

    Great image , TFS Andreas

    I take your point.

I do have a little more room above and below, however, if I crop in from his back, it then starts to get a little more squarish........at least for my tastes.
Leaving it at my preferred 2:3 ratio had him just a little too centered IMO, hence my crop alternate. It came in @ around 8:11 ratio. All a matter of personal preference.

Hi Marc - I really like the way the leopard's attention is focused on the fly. Yes, the low angle/pov pays off here. I too feel it is a little tight around but not a dealbreaker. If it were mine I would reduce the yellows slightly particularly in the whites.

    TFS,
    Rachel

Hi Marc, a well captured image with nice expression and a clean BG. The fly really adds to the image.

Fantastic shot, Marc! Wish I could get such a beautiful photo bomber when trying to photograph a fly! The little purple flowers add a nice touch to it!

Lovely clarity and classical facial expression, well done!

    Superb image Marc,

This is so well exposed... besides the stunning leopard, I like those tiny flowers on the ground - what a nice touch:)

Nice and sharp and great IQ, well composed and presented, the fly a big bonus - given the slight growl, was the subject annoyed by the fly?

Just wonderful, so enjoyed viewing, also thank you for your recent post in Story Sequences - much appreciated Marc

    Kind regards,
    Gabriela Plesea
