A great, crisp and clean shot. It feels a little cramped at the top as cropped. Love the angle.

Agree a little more at the top, the bird is a little cracker and the vegetation adds to the image, nice neat clean shot.

Hi Paul, a sweet image and I think being a little higher has helped, as you managed to include the feet, compared to a lower POV. I might be tempted to 'lift' (lighten) the eye a fraction just to bring a hint of life into the dark. To me the greens seem a little vivid/saturated, but this might be due to the file profile, RGB. Overall the subject has a nice sharpness and clarity to the plumage.

Please note that it is customary/required to include Exif data to accompany the image which will then aid greater feedback, likewise check the Workflow for when you save an image for presentation on the web. As this image carries an RGB profile rather than the customary sRGB embedded profile. This will also ensure your images are presented to their best and prevent any cooer shift.

Lovely shot of a very handsome shorebird. The top is too tight IMO.

Nice find, and well photographed with good techs and sharpness. The vegetation adss a lot to the image, just bummer there is a lot of it covering the legs. I agree the comp is tight as presented. Now, can you shoo this beauty up to Ottawa...thanks.
