Looks like only posting old stuff for a while looks like will be spending a few weeks in the care of our national health service in a Birmingham hospital, the good side is it gives you a chance to go through older stuff and see if you have made any improvements.
Did like the pink hue on this which is from the bg vegetation. Think Gails Curlew gave me a bit of inspiration

Thanks for looking and your comments on my last post.

Very 'nice' Keith, love the warm, saturation of the whole image, with good detail & sharpness where it counts. Would recrop, with a sliver off the RHS to remove the white edge, top right creeping in.

Hope all goes well and you recover quickly and are able to get out and about again very soon. If you want some good reading material on AF & BIF I can send you some stuff, plus a good book on PP which will bolster your lessons, LOL, seriously worth the read.

    All the best.
    Steve

I wish you fast recovery, Keith. Excellent image of one of my favorite Owls. Nice light and very nice background.

    Get well soon mate!
Lovely shot, what do you think pulling it back another 1/3 perhaps? Feels a touch bright for me.
But it's a matter of personal taste.
    The eye is just mesmerising.
    Thanks for sharing Keith!

Nice light indeed. Wonderful BG. Looks like relatively new hardware the farmer installed, but starting to rust and getting some "weathering" on the post. Good comp. Looks like you rotated the image and forgot to fill in the top right corner after cropping.

Super image Keith, love the light on him. Such a great shame that these birds have been denied their winter feeding area.

Keith get yourself better as soon as possible and when you do, and if I may, I'd like to bump into you some time if I ever get mobile.
I like the first post best. It stands out more and reveals the birds soft feathers more
