    One more long-bill, before I head out for the weekend. Black-necked Stilt at sunset, Moss Landing, CA. 2013.

    D7000, 500f4 + 1.4 TC, ISO 1250, 1/1000s @ f/7.1 manual. Full-frame.

    Bill:

    Nicely exposed, good POV, good light, like the tiny drop, the slight gap in the mandibles.

    Just for purely personal taste, might trim 10% of the free space off the top.

    Lovely the way you have caught the sunset on the birds plumage Bill, fine with the presentation ,would have loved to have seen it with the whole reflection, very nice work.

    Beautiful light Bill. The small water droplet about to hit the surface is nice a touch.

    Nice light, and the hint of pink legs adds to the image. The drop is a good bonus. I do feel the subject is a tad low in the frame though.

    Lovely light, beautiful bird, nicely shown. I agree with a little off the top, maybe a 16x9 taking from the top. Thank you for sharing, Bill.
