A bit of a variation from me for the theme, this time a head-shot of a thirsty elephant who seems to be enjoying the H2O at Chobe river. Shot from a boat, hand held with 5D III, 100-400 II at 135mm. It has been an amazing month with some awesome images being posted. I thoroughly enjoyed participating and enjoyed all the images from everyone.

Hi Sanjeev, if you can, try a B/W and say a 10x8 crop with less on the LHS, I think it may have more impact compared to the colour. Having a light background should give you good separation too. The colour looks well processed & clarity/sharpness is there too, so B/W should be no problem.

    Cheers
    Steve

Thanks Steve and Haseeb, here is a B&W conversion as suggested by Steve. Used Nik Silver Efex Pro.

Thanks for your comments. Will try a bit more midtone adjustment.

Hi Sanjeev - The drinking pose works and I think the b&w is more interesting. A couple of tweaks to give it a bit more tonal depth will take it to another level.

Nice detail and texture in this one - I agree the B&W can be given some more punch...
