    Snipe feeding in theearly morning dew. Yet another one to bore you with! Spent a long time with these birds so might as well milk it !!
    Great to watch them at close range. They rarely stop. Where they get the energy from is amazing.
    Other years we have baited by blowing mealworms through a peashooter, but didn't need to this time.There was too much going on.
    Before the sun got around so not so much backlight on this one. Getting to this site meant quite an expedition for me- about 20 miles !! My mate and I made the hide so that its possible to get in without putting the stuff off the site- often other waders.

    Couple of white feathers removed.

    This is really beautiful in its habitat.
    The drop of water is a big plus.

    very nice John,great habitat shot,nice detail and pose,like the water drop end of bill,if mine .would remove the black blob in grass below tail,no big deal.TFS.

    Perfect habitat shot, John. Snip is very nicely composed in plants in BG and FG.
    Great Show. Nice lights, love the water droplet at the tip of bill.
