    I captured this image recently at Lake Mirror in Lakeland, Florida. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

    Nikon 80-400mm F/4.5-5.6 VRII AF-S ED shot at 400mm (600mm FFE)
    1/2000 F/5.6 Matrix Metering -1EV ISO 125 AWB, camera supported on a concrete well
    Post processed in Lightroom 6 and Photoshop Elements 10

    Good whites here, and nice details within them. I like the comp. With the cooler harsher light warming up the WB a bit would be a good idea IMO.

    Awesome whites Joe and stunning details. Almost perfectly sharp to the bill tip, almost.
    I am fine with the WB really. But it's up to you how you present it
    at the end of the day.

    Hi Joe,
    Really like your shot - up to the usual standard - nice portrait, well framed and lots of clean detail.
    But if it was mine, I would be tempted to push the whites a bit more - to me they look a little too subdued.

    Thanks everyone for viewing, commenting and suggesting improvements. Very much appreciated...

    Gerald, I normally set the brightest whites at 92-94 % (235-240 on the 0-255 scale). I will go back and tack a look at whites, maybe raise the exposure a tad because I had to underexpose to keep from clipping the whites. Thanks for your suggestion.
