Great POV, perfect head turn and the grebe's eye draws my eye straight into the picture.
I like the water color and patterns although it is definitely bordering on busy and bright.
Great IQ and DOF on this little guy,
    Gail

Thanks, Gail. Went back and forth on the patterns/reflections in the water, and was curious to hear what others thought.

Hi Geoff, what a great HA here, and as Gail mentioned, that eye is very interesting. The colour and texture of the water seems to compliment the Grebe, and it seems to be camouflaged against it.

Birds eye really pops, the rest of the bird blends beautifully with the water,HA is perfect.

I hope I am wrong, but I would think there'd be more feather detail in the head and the bill.
It looks like it's either too big a crop, hence the missing detail, or it is just so smooth in plumage?
But still does not explain the bill.
Love the POV and HA. THe patterns of the water is great for me, kind of cartoonish, almost
as if they were painted. I really like them. They're sure different.
    Thanks for sharing.
