    This is very nice Karl.
Love your POV looking up. Excellent techs and your choice of F11 has really paid off,

    Karl:
Nice crane shot, like the POV as mentioned by Gail, mud on bill, colors on eye and crown.

Super nice crane image. Low shooting angle makes it look so huge. Well done, Karl.

Nicely exposed and developed. It is not easy to do justice to big birds. Regards, Ian.

Lovely image of a Sand Hill. Yours are so brown/rusty compared to the ones in Florida. Thank you for sharing, Karl.

What?? Is this an Ontario bird?? I've never been able to get closer than 200 yards of one up here. Super nice image, I love the composition and the perfect head angle to go with the view of the rusty plumage on the back. Well done.

Thanks Daniel. I guess we are lucky in a way that there is a place very close to where I live, (Cambridge) and they have been nesting there since 2002.
Odd times they are very tame, other times they will walk away, like two days ago.

  10. Thanks Daniel Cadieux thanked for this post

Hi Karl, a different angle of capture, it works for me. I do like the detail and colours, and overall nice and sharp. Great eye too.

Recon you have caught this one beautifully Karl, that rusty colour is certainly different, sharp from beak to toe which looks a long way.

It's all been said, Karl. This is a very elegant portrait. I like it a lot.
