    This fellow was imaged last month late in the afternoon, while working on a back lit series of images.

    D4 600VR TC-14II EFL 850mm f/7.1 ISO 800 Pedestal mounted in bottom of my loon boat

    Post: Added sliver of canvas to right, adjusted the luminosity of several areas, sharpened.

    Good mid sratch shot Randy! Would be nice to see the whole right side ripple but no big deal.

    I agree with John re: more on the right side.
    Excellent pose.
    You nailed the exposure. I like that I can see the eye despite the fact that it is in shadow.

    Even with the backlighting we can see the velvety texture n the head...nice touch. The water looks super with the subtle hints of texture within. If mine I'd likely have removed the white speck underneath the eye. Neat image!

    Other than the great pose, what makes this work is that we can see the eye well enough.
