I used quite a few textures, poster edges, Viveza for local adjustments, and then toned. This will be one of my last posts. I have found after nearly two years, and working full time, dealing with aging parents (who do not live close by - to very taxing). I cannot give OOTB my full attention, but I have thoroughly enjoyed seeing everyone's work, and the progress you all have made, so delightful. I will probably be back in a year or so, but just as a member. I hope you all continue to make OOTB an exciting, thriving forum. My best to all of you, and the fellow mods, who work so hard behind the scenes and who give so generously of their time. It is not an easy task!
Greetings. Cheryl asked about how to find ones's posts and I directed her to the "find latest started threads" item in one's profile. I looked over mine and discovered that all my threads are there dating back to Jan 2010. And who was there commenting on my first images... you (and Kerry, Cheryl, Christopher, Paul, Mark). Thank you Jackie for the years of comments and encouragement. It has meant a lot to me. And thanks for sharing your wonderful photographs. I always take a look when I see your name because I know I'll be rewarded. My best to you in your challenges. Hope to see you back in the future.
Beautiful. I like that you kept it simple--makes the pod stand out and be the star. It looks 3 dimensional! Have you considered making it just a bit brighter--the pod only?
I can well understand that you are overburdened. You are wise to cut back. I will miss your photos and comments here.
Jackie, you will be greatly missed! You have greatly enhanced the OOTB forum with your creativity and thoughtful comments. Please do check in when you can. And I do hear you about elderly parents. Take care! BTW, great treatment of the lotus pod in shades of gray & black. I think Anita's idea of the pod being just a bit brighter is good.
What a beautiful image to post as a last (or maybe almost last) one. Best wishes for the tasks you have ahead. I'll look forward to having you back when you have time! I've really enjoyed and learned from your images and artistry!
