    D4s, Nikon 500mm + 1.4 tc, 1/2500s, f 8.0, ISO 800, Gitzo tripod, Wimberley Gimbal head.

    An impeccably sharp very nice image of a youngster. Well framed. Getting lower (if possible) might have improved it.

    Lovely light, Geoffrey. The plumage details are beautiful and perfectly sharp. Agree lower angle may have improved BG. Wondering about a bit more space all round and room for the virtual legs.

    Hi Geoffrey, nice angled pose, and good DOF on the Heron. The feather detail shows up so well, sharp, and I like the colour of water. Another vote for a little more space below.

    Very good looking juvie here, and tack sharp. Good comp. I agree a lower angle (if possible) would have improved the look of the image by throwing the BG even more oof.
