    Satish;

    He fits the theme very well and the bill is nicely highlighted. Nice detail in the darks on the bird, excellent eye contact, great red crown.

    You could soften and reduce the impact of the upper background to reduce the visual clutter, without any major surgery. It is the contrast of the dark patches/shadows that really tend to draw the eye. Consider reducing the contrast sig. in that area, and perhaps even run some stronger NR to the upper background only to further soften it. A gaussian blur might work nicely as well.

    In a perfect world, would like to see the feet, but it looks like a pretty lumpy area, so understand.

    Cheers

    I agree to an extent with randy,s comments. It would do as is for me though. With my experience with blurring backgrounds I would leave it were it mine !!!

    Great bird for the the theme and nice to see some non-american birds. I agree the setting and BG aren't the best but still I enjoyed viewing the image as the techs on the subject are spot on.

    Wonderful looking bird, Satish. I agree with Randy re the upper BG. Great detail and very nice head turn.

    The BG is what it is. I used to get excited about knowing things like blurring BGs and doing all this fancy post processing,
    but the reality is if I cannot get the best possible BG during the capture, I tend to just leave as is.
    What a gorgeous bird!
    IF anything, if you cropped the green above by half to make this more of a pano, you may end up with a more pleasing shot.
    What do you reckon?
    Well done and TFS!

    Good self critique as the BKGR is less than ideal but the bird is a stunner. You might tryi reducing the Contrast just a bit with a mild reverse S-Curves adjustment. a

    Hi Satish, I wish we had Ibis's this colourful - what a great looking Ibis. Lovely angled pose, sharp, and as mentioned, the colours are quite striking. A bit difficult seeing the feet buried in mud.
