I used Perfect Effects 9 with a glow effect and removed one person from the water. The scene really was that fantasy blue as seen in Lightroom, and it just cried out for a soft glow to be added!

The blue is gorgeous! The angled waves starting at the horizon and ending at the triangle of beach create a dynamic look--realistic also--I can almost imagine jumping into the water. The two children are a nice touch--one in and one about to enter--they convey the joy of the water. VEry nice!

Judy, I also discovered that glow effect in Perfect Effects 9, and love it! It adds a nice touch to this image. That layer of fog/darker clouds at the horizon add more visual depth to the water and separation from the narrow layer of blue sky and thin pale clouds. This creates interesting layers. The two children add great focus points and joyful emotion, as Anita points out.

Thanks Anita and Nancy! Yes I liked the angled view and the fog layer definitely added interest to the sky and the kids did to the surf.

I love the vivid blues, the motion of the image, and the playfulness evoked by the children...beautiful!

Very nice! It would be interesting to add even more tonal structure to the sky -- maybe Nik CEP's Tonal Contrast would do it. (Just masked to the sky.)

The blue color is lovely, but of course how color balance comes into LR (or any raw converter I know of) reflects the camera's white balance, whether auto or preset. It may or may not be true to the scene. But this is one I would be very happy to accept as is.

Blue sky, blue water, nice cloud bank = lots to like! I agree with comments above, the composition is quite nice. Well done!
