    Default A Nod to Mondrian

I finally have started going over my images from my first trip to Spain and Italy and this is an image I took in Florence inside a museum. It is the railing of a staircase landing with the wall and a geometric shape in the background. It was pretty monochromatic to begin with and I used a Curves adjustment in CC with the Negative preset. I put a small border from Nik CEP to keep the white edge from being lost when I posted. I wouldn't use the border if I printed it.
    Thanks for looking

I like the visual reference to Mondrian and I think the border definitely helps establish a baseline for the geometrical image. My first thought was that I was looking at a section of leaded glass. Cool idea!

Well seen and composed. I like the monochrome. I wish the gray horizontal was in focus. Perfect for OOTB.

Very modern and edgy. The addition and positioning of that internal right angle of gray with an obvious texture is key to the image for me. It adds so much interest contrasting against the smooth textures of the whites, grays and blacks, plus being in the opposite position to the white and gray framing. It adds a mysterious dimension that makes me wonder just what would I see through that frame if I only could!
