Beautiful light and super looking bird with a clean background, my only complaint is a poor HA Stuart.

Fascinating bird, Stuart. I like the plumage and bill details. I wonder if it is possible to pull a little more detail from the shaded wing and it may be worth exploring a slight localised contrast increase on the bird.

Not sure what you did, but the BG looks like it's painted onto a canvas with the texture.
    HA less than ideal.

The head angle is not ideal and the blacks are blocked up in areas. The background has a sort of oil paint canvas filter (or similar) applied. If you start again you can have a reasonably decent image of a stunning bird IMHO.

The HA is the one big negative with this shot. Also there is an orange-peel texture to the entire background. This should be easy to fix in LR or PS as the bird would be easy to select against the clean background. That all said it is a very nice background, good interesting perch and great details in the bird.

Excellent image. Beautiful colours, great details, nice perch with leaves, BG and superb composition.
