Fairly normal processing on this one, mostly toning up dark shadows and adding some saturation, NR, detailing.

This is a photograph of the Cloud Gate sculpture in Chicago (also known as the Bean). If you could see that far I would be reflected in the far trees next to the reflection of the couple (left center). So the OOTB is completely the subject ;-)...

    Thanks for looking.

    Cheers,

    -Michael-

That's a very unique perspective on the Bean, which I've seen before and would love to see in person. Nice work and very OOTB!

I like your composition, Michael, with the balustrade anchoring the image and the curved "bean" rising above it. Nice capture.

The inclusion of the rather solid-looking railing in front of it makes it!! Quite cool!

OK -- what is the term for an architectural structure like that? Fence doesn't quite do it...

Very different view of the bean, and the placement of the couple is perfect. Great OOTB thinking Michael!

Hi Michael, I love the Bean for it's almost unlimited opportunities for photographs. I've never looked at it from this perspective and I really appreciate such a fresh look at it. It is perfectly framed by the trees and balustrade. The sun highlight just makes a cherry for the top. Nice job!

As others have written, this unique perspective of the Bean is refreshing. Nice combination of nature and human-made structures. Effective limited color palette. Couple in perfect location. Your inclusion of the balustrade is original and a nice counterpoint the all the circularity of the subject.

I agree with all the comments about the unique perspective of this image...very cool! I was just at Millenium Park and The Bean a couple of weeks ago, and I keep trying to picture where you were standing...

Judy, Cheryl, Diane, Jackie, Kerry, Anita, Wendy,

Thanks much for the comments. They are greatly appreciated.

Wendy, even knowing where I took this I can't put the perspective together without a great deal of thought. The closer bushes on the right merge with the tree tops of distant trees to make it seem like the bean is resting in foliage (at least to my eye).

I'm standing just a little to the left of where the red x is... maybe that tree just to the bottom left of the x is the tree on the right in the image. I was standing off the path between those two bottom rows of trees.

    Cheers,

    -Michael-
