Default Visions from the IR Spectrum

These trees at Fort Matazas National Mon. in St. Augustine provided me with many compositions for IR. The branches flow like a web throughout the parking area.

    Converted 20d + 17-85 USM IS; polarizer

toned in lightroom and cs 3.

Outstanding work, Mike!! I love the contrast and the design. I might try to find a way to remove the leaf in front of one of the branches (about the left-third line, center)...

I know exactly where you are Mike. Nice work. I think I have made similar non-IR images there.

Very lovely, Mike. My D200 is getting converted as we speak color IR, though...

Hey Fabs, are you doing one color or is there a way to do multiple colors for IR? I've seen some images in an IR blue that look really nice! What color are you converting the D200 to?

    blake check out lifepixel.com

when you use color IR, you have to do some color channel tweaking in PS to reverse red and blue.

I opted for Deep IR which is the lowest portion of the IR spectrum but B&W ... more artsy I guess :-)

I'm going for the blue sky and white vegetation, tweaking the channel mixer. You can fool around with it and do some extra colors. And convert to B&W too.
    I'm using LifePixel also.

Great IR shot Michael, very bold effects from that tree. Nicely composed. Will be posting some IR shots myself sometime this week if weather permits from the west coast of Fl.
