    Stuart:

Striking colors on this one. What species of hummer is this?

    Interesting flowers as well.

In a perfect world, would have wished the wing didn't merge with the flower, and perhaps a bit more room on the right.

    Cheers

The bird and flower are lovely. In the circumstance I'm not sure how you can avoid the wing merge with the flower but it does not detract too much. Bird appears well frozen (shutter speed?) and the background is superb.

    Nice work Stuart.

Nice being able to see the bird's tongue through the semi-transparent flower side-wall. I would prefer a bit more room on the RHS which would make the frame more squarish. If you have more room, it might be worth trying a looser crop all round with the bird slightly smaller in the frame. I would also try to sharpen the bird a little more. Regards, Ian.

Great image. Only nit from me is the end of the flower overlapping the wing. Otherwise, good details, nice colours and good clean background.

I like the wing position, sharp eye, flower and visible tongue through the semi transparent flower. At the finca where I stay at in Costa Rica one of the Violet Sabrewings used to rule the feeder taking other hummers out of the air. He would even fly up to my eyes so close you couldn't focus on him. I called him a Violent Sabrewing. Excellent image Stuart!
