Great timing Ben, the far gladiator has given you a great pose and the dust around the closest one really adds to the shot

Very nice action and great timing Ben. The shadow of the air borne squirrel and the dust kicked up all make this a fun image.

    Good morning Ben:)

I am smiling from ear to ear, thinking of those little adorable scoundrels and the fun we all have with them...Although last year they chewed our cables around the tent and we had to patch them, LOL. They were not happy with us because we left no crumbs and no tidbits around...

Love the chap on the RHS, priceless expression from him as he is trying to avoid the sand getting into his eyes, and that little tooth visible, too cute!!! Completely off the ground and sand is flying, I like the shadow there on the left.

Very nice action shot, well exposed too, that light is so harsh and I tried every possible setting I could think of while capturing those guys, some worked well and some didn't but our subjects here move around at the speed of lightning from sun to shade and all one can do is shoot and hope for the best. Would love to see a sequence from you Ben if you have the time, I have just posted one. I am sure you have hundreds of those frames and some stunning encounters!

Thank you so much for sharing, enjoyed this very much as it brought such fond memories of the KTP:)

    Kind regards,
    Gabriela Plesea

Love the lighting and action in the kicked up dust here Ben, summing up the quarrelsome nature of these guys nicely.

Hi Ben - Excellent action, well captured. I love all the visible paws/claws and your timing was great. You handled the bright light well too.

Hi Ben a stunning well timed action shot of this guys .
Well controlled light situation , but for me the shadow and 3/4 tone areas are a bit too light and lacking some depth , they do look a bit like S/H filter was applied to the image ?
But this could be avoided or reworked if you wish .
As this is a minor thing , still a great image .

    TFS Andreas

Thanks for the comments. All are appreciated. Light was a bit harsh. Got about 4 out of 12 frames that are usable. The fight lasted only a few seconds. Ben

Hi Ben, good timing but again, agree with Andreas about the overall depth, just looks/appears a bit thin. Creating more tonal depth within the overall capture will elevate the image and provide more presence & impact and take it to where it needs to be.

Hello Ben -- pretty late to join on this . Loved everything abt this shot . very well taken and also u have handled the lighting conditions extremely well . At first look it appeared to me that Shadow -highlight work was applied a bit strongly but not a deal breaker though . TFS !

Thanks for the comments. No shadow high light adjustments were performed. Thanks for the suggestions re mid tones.
