    Default Dual "riders"

It's that time of year again where I'm spending time on the lake working on Loon images. The hatch is about one to two weeks late this year due to the wierd spring we have had here in Minnesota. The lake I was on had approx twenty nesting pairs of Loons and I only saw one with babies (2). Here is an image from this past weekend, unfortunately we didn't find these guys until the good sun had come and gone.

This is one of my all time favorite kinds of images. Love the warmth an image like this portrays with mother and not only one baby but twol Beautifully composed with a lovely head turn and very nice exposure. Congratulations on a great capture Mike.

    Hi Mike!

This is way too cute, I love it! You did a good job with the dark colors. I see a tiny dot behind the first chick's head. I really like the story!

Thanks. The dot is a gnat, they tend to "bug" these birds. :D
