    This was taken at a local pond last week. I was there to get Green Herons and this little guys came in close for a shot or two. All C&Cs are welcome and appreciated.

    This is lovely Jim.
    I love the way these guys bob their tail up and down.
    Excellent IQ and I like the environment he is shown in with the rock sloping into the water.
    In a perfect world you would have had enough light to get more DOF for the tail but I am still enjoying this image very much,

    Hi Jim, lovely leaning pose, with the pose following the line of the sloping 'perch'. Nice soft light exposing the whites nicely.

    Agree with Gail re DOF
    But, love the diagonal leading lines of the comp.
    Nice details, sharp and the light is soft.

    Jim agree about the tail but that apart you cannot be far from perfection with this fine shot, would be thrilled if it was mine.
