This was taken on the morning of whats called the glorious 12th here in the UK,the Grouse shooting season, not glorious for the Grouse.cannon 500mm IS,L,F4,MK1,EXT1/4,700MM,5D MK111.hand held,iso1250,1/2000S,F6.3,crop,sharpened for web, touch of color balance.
And a glorious capture too Chris. Very evocative in its natural environment. Hope the bird kept out of harm's way. All looks good to me, well done. Regards, Ian.
WOW! The light is just beautiful here.
Excellent IQ and I love the way he is framed by the grasses.
No nits from me except for the sad reason for you title,
Gail
Hi Chris, love the light and warm colours, and you nailed the sharpness on the Grouse. The hunting party must be lousy shots, the Grouse looks all good to me. Yep, hope he made through the day.
When I read the title and saw the thumbnail I was thinking a nice image taken while trying to figure out the next shot on the 12th. hole out of the tall grass at a golf course somewhere in the UK. You did say hand held. Simply too beautiful in its environment and well captured, Christopher.
