    Mervyn:

That is a big fish, I am a little surprised he could fly with it!

Beautifully exposed, light angle worked well to light both inside and outside surfaces of the wings and the head.

Although similar tones on the head and underside of the wing, the bill and eye helps the head stand out. The subtle browns in the water play well with the bird.

    Cheers

    Nice action shot!
Really nice to see the eye of the osprey and the eye of the fish.
    Great POV and tack sharp.
    Very nice!

Did the bird manage to keep the fish in flight?

great dynamic take off with the large fish. In an ideal world the talons and the fish's head would have been a bit more visible. light was nice too,

This image would have greater impact if you posted it at larger size

I re-posted the shot larger, thanks Satish for the heads up on resizing, as i didn't know you could go 1200 wide.

Very nice with a good peek-a-boo head on the osprey past the near wing. Man they can fly with big fish, a bald eagle can barely climb with that size if it can at all. Osprey are the ultimate raptor fishermen.

Great action image Mervyn! I like the wing position, catch, exposure, IQ and composition.
