Yet another one for the theme. Am so glad I photographed a lot of portraits and head shots in my recent trip to Chobe and Okavango. Certainly coming handy this month!
This was a side-lit WB with a nice pair of horns.

    Dear Sanjeev,

I guess you got back from this amazing trip with enough images to last you for the next six months or so - I certainly look forward to seeing all of them!

Nice eye contact with this Waterbokkie and he does sport a massive pair of beautiful horns...what lovely pose, those ears pointing slightly backwards tell of his alert state.

Sharpness is there in good measure (mmm...nice lens!), nice DOF, I think a tiny bit of magenta and blue creeping in and worth checking...if this was mine I would try reduce the brightness of the vegetation in the BG - perhaps drop the yellows on those leaves behind the subject? Me tempted to take a bit off the top, just below your signature, matter of taste I know and it's all up to you:)
Looking forward to see what the others say, overall a lovely capture of this Waterbuck - well done Sanjeev for showcasing another species from the African continent, and DO KEEP THOSE IMAGES COMING

    Kind regards,
    Gabriela Plesea

Thanks Dear Gabriela, I agree with your crop suggestion. Taking a bit off the top should look better. I did reduce magentas and yellows but guess not enough. Will look into it. I have many more images to share and I always look forward to your feedback and suggestions. Glad you appreciate them.

Hi Sanjeev lovely portrait of the buck .
Nice detail and tones on the subject , agree regarding Gabrielas thoughts about the crop .
In a real nice world the BG would have been a bit softer , but we cannot do that much sometimes about it , but F 4 would have been great for that scenario .
I just tried to mimic it artificially with my RP , not that much perfect .

Hi Sanjeev - Another nice portrait and you certainly had the opportunity to photograph lots of different species. Keep them coming. I agree with Gabriela's suggestions about color and comp.

    TFS,
    Rachel
