    Nikon D800, ISO 1600, 500mm @ f/5.0, 1/100 s. Fill flashed used.

Image taken on a very wet day with very limited light available. Normal stuff in lightroom, sharpening, removing a part of the feeder and then adding canvas to the right of the bird. Steeleye from the flash fixed.
All comments and improvement suggestions welcome.

Wow, what a sword! Haven't seen that before. I think adding the canvas to the right was a good choice. If it were mine, I might explore toning down the background a bit. There is so much on the bird that blends in that I think a less saturated bkgd might make the bird stand out. good catch.

Beautiful, and what a bill!! I agree with Hazel to try and tone down the background just a little, still a great shot!

Very nice! Maybe a slight lowering of yellow saturation could be interesting, but I don't find this level to be too much. I think the variation and subtle structure in the BG helps it hold up to the level of saturation. I would add just a little more BG on the left, and if you want to stay with the aspect ratio, I could go with just a little less on the right.

Nice sharpness and a pleasing amount of blur. I would do some noise reduction, especially on the BG.

    Hello Svante!

What a lovely subject to photograph, love the wing blur and that extraordinary beak!

Well done with using fill flash and in relatively poor lighting conditions. I agree with Diane on adding a tad more on the left side of the image, good thinking in adding some on the right.

I like the composition, sharpness is there, perhaps the BG a bit noisy but not a deal breaker. Have never seen this beauty in real life so difficult to comment on the colours. I do love the positioning of the wings and the pose from the bird, great eye contact too

Will keep an eye in this forum for your future images, I enjoyed viewing, thank you so much

This is really nice you have a beautiful subject with wonderful colors and tones. The only thing letting the image down is the noise in the BG so I fixed it so you can see how it improves the image. I also brighten the hummer just a tad to pop it against the BG. I used Nik define to get rid of the noise and applied it on a layer so I could mask out the subject and brighten the bird using a simple brightening/contrast layer and mask.
