    nice soft light and details, I really like the weathered perch too. a slight head turn towards us would have been ideal

    Lovely perch and BG really makes the plumage pop, Karl. I might do a little selective work on the eye to darken the pupil a bit.

    Hi Karl, a great subject for the theme, and I really like the detail on the Snipe. The Snipe couldnt have picked a better perch, and love the colours in the BG.

    Great BG and perch.
    Really like the weathered post he is on.
    I agree about darkening the eye and I might reduce the contrast a bit as well.

    All looks good to me Karl. Well balanced composition and techs look good. Contrast for this size image seems about right or within limits to me IMHO.

    Excellent image Karl! I like the perch, pose, BG, composition and slightly open bill. I agree with darkening the pupil.
